According to the expected volume of traffic, the client found out that two-lane roadway within the section Sorman–Bir Ayad does not meet the desired requirements.
For this purpose, a Design was drafted for adding two more lanes on the entire section from Sorman town, located by the Mediterranean Sea, up to the intersection Bir Ayad.
The planned width of the newly designed roadway would be 14.0 m (7.0 m of new and 7.0 m of the existing roadway), with shoulders of approximately 1.3 m.
Depending on the obstacles next to the existing roadway, the newly designed roadway would be placed in the left or right side of the existing roadway.
NING Ltd. team of engineers successfully finished all stages of the Project, including Surveying, Alignment Design, Pavement Design, Structural Design, Drainage Systems, etc.
